Silicon metal , also known as industrial silicon, is a product smelted from silica and carbonaceous reducing agents in a submerged arc furnace. Metallic silicon can be divided into multiple grades according to the different impurity contents, such as common grades such as silicon 553 and 441. The main component is silicon, with a purity of usually more than 98%, and the rest are impurity elements such as Fe, Al, and Ca. Taking the common 553 grade as an example, "553" means that the content of Fe, Al, and Ca does not exceed 0.5%, 0.5%, and 0.3%, respectively. Different grades of silicon metal have different impurity contents, which will affect their performance and use. 50-100mm refers to the size between 50-100mm. Steelmaking deoxidizer

In the steelmaking process, as a deoxidizer, can effectively remove oxygen from molten steel, improve the purity of steel, and reduce defects such as pores and slag inclusions in steel. After adding the silicon metal with a size of 50-100mm to the steelmaking furnace, the dissolution rate is moderate, and it can continue to deoxidize for a certain period of time to ensure the stability of the steelmaking process.

Casting alloying agent

Through reaction with methyl chloride, organic silicon monomers such as methylchlorosilane can be prepared, and then organic silicon products such as silicone oil, silicone rubber, and silicone resin can be synthesized. The contact area of 50-100mm particles with other reactants in the chemical reactor is relatively stable, which is conducive to controlling the reaction rate and reaction process.
