"441" is a commonly used grade code in the silicon metal industry. The three digits represent the typical upper limit control values for the main impurities iron (Fe), aluminum (Al), and calcium (Ca), namely Fe ≤ 0.4%, Al ≤ 0.4%, and Ca ≤ 0.1%.
Compared to the entry-level Silicon553 (Ca ≤ 0.3%), Silicon441 has stricter control over calcium, significantly reducing slag formation and potential impact on catalysts during subsequent use. Compared to the high-purity Silicon3303 (Ca ≤ 0.03%), silicon metal 441 meets the requirements of most industrial applications while offering a more competitive price. Therefore, Si441 is widely recognized as the most cost-effective and versatile general-purpose silicon metal grade.

Application industries
Alloy additives:
