Silicon Carbide (SiC, molecular formula SiC) is a high-hardness inorganic synthetic material, natural crystalline moissanite is scarce with no industrial mining value; commercial Si is fully produced via high-temperature smelting of quartz sand and petroleum coke in submerged arc furnaces, divided into Black Silicon Carbide & Green Silicon Carbide two mainstream types according to purity and crystal property.

 

Our factory supplies diversified grades including granular, powder and pressed briquette SiC, covering metallurgical deoxidation, abrasive processing, high-temperature refractory, semiconductor, new energy ceramics and composite material raw materials. Featuring high melting point (~2700℃), Mohs hardness 9.2, outstanding thermal shock resistance and anti-oxidation property, it becomes an irreplaceable raw material for high-temperature and wear-resistant industrial production.

① Metallurgical & Steelmaking Industry(SiC88/90/Briquette main use)

Work as compound deoxidizer & carburizer for converter/electric furnace steelmaking, SiC reacts with molten oxygen to generate CO floating out, remove oxide inclusions, reduce molten steel oxygen content 30%+, replace partial ferrosilicon & recarburizer to cut raw material cost 10~15%; also act as inoculant for gray/ductile iron to refine graphite grain, reduce shrinkage cavity & white cast defects.

② Abrasive & Grinding Industry(Si97/Si98 Green Si priority)

Black SiC: Coated abrasives (sandpaper/abrasive belt), bonded grinding wheel for cast iron, aluminum alloy, stone rough cutting & blasting rust removal;

Green SiC: Precision lapping/polishing for hard alloy, optical glass, sapphire wafer, semiconductor silicon slice, ultra-fine polishing powder for electronic component finishing.

③ High-Temperature Refractory Industry(SiC90~98)

Raw material for refractory brick, castable refractory, kiln furniture, furnace lining for steel plant, glass kiln, cement rotary kiln; improve lining anti-slag corrosion and service life by 2~3 times.

④ Semiconductor & Optoelectronic Industry(High-purity SiC≥99.5%)

Raw material for SiC wafer substrate, high-frequency power device, optical lens & mirror blank, widely used in new energy photovoltaic, power electronic components.

⑤ Automotive & New Energy Composite Materials

Additive for brake pad, clutch friction plate, wear-resistant pump casing; used as reinforcing filler for high-temperature resistant composite in new energy vehicle battery shell & thermal conductive parts.
