Ferrosilicon 75 is a ferroalloy widely used in the industrial field. Ferrosilicon 75 usually refers to ferrosilicon alloys with a silicon content of 72%-75%. According to national standards, there are many specific grades such as FeSi75Al0.5-A and FeSi75Al0.5-B. High-quality natural blumps of ferrosilicon 75 are generally dark gray, with a bright and uniform metallic luster. The surface should be smooth without cracks and oxidation. The shape is usually irregular, with forms such as powder, particles, blumps and natural blumps. Powders have different mesh sizes, such as 40 mesh and 50 mesh; blumps have regular shapes, and the length, width and height are relatively consistent; natural blumps are generally more than 100mm.

Products Uses
Steelmaking industry:
It is an extremely important deoxidizer that can efficiently remove oxygen from molten steel, improve the purity and quality of steel, and is used for precipitation deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation. It is also a commonly used alloying element additive that can improve the strength, hardness, elasticity of steel, improve the magnetic permeability of steel, and reduce the hysteresis loss of transformer steel.
Cast iron industry:
It is an important inoculant and spheroidizer in the production of ductile iron. It can prevent the formation of carbides in iron, promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite, improve the performance of cast iron, and increase its strength and toughness.
Ferroalloy production:
Due to the high chemical affinity of silicon with oxygen and low carbon content, it is a commonly used reducing agent in the production of low-carbon ferroalloys.
Other fields:
In the Pidgeon process of magnesium smelting, it is often used in the high-temperature smelting process of magnesium metal to replace magnesium in CaO・MgO. Ground or atomized ferrosilicon powder can be used as a suspension phase in the mineral processing industry, as a coating for welding rods in the welding rod manufacturing industry, and high-silicon ferrosilicon can be used in the chemical industry to manufacture silicone and other products.
