90% of black silicon carbide is mainly composed of silicon carbide (SiC), with a content of about 90%. The rest are impurities, such as silicon dioxide (SiO₂), iron oxide (Fe₂O₃), free carbon (F.C), etc. The impurity content is usually strictly limited. For example, SiO₂ generally does not exceed a certain proportion to ensure the performance of silicon carbide.

Chemical stability: The chemical properties are stable, and it is not easy to react with common chemicals such as acids and alkalis at room temperature. It can resist the erosion of corrosive substances such as slag and metal oxides, and is suitable for various harsh chemical environments.

 

Antioxidation: In When the temperature is below 1400℃, a layer of silicon dioxide film will form on the outside of the particles, which can prevent further oxidation of silicon carbide, so that the refractory products made of it can resist the erosion of oxidizing media such as oxygen and water vapor, and extend the service life.
