CaSi powder cored wire is a functional material commonly used in steel smelting and other fields. Low carbon steel strip is usually used as the outer skin of the cored wire. Low carbon steel has good toughness and ductility, and can withstand large deformation without breaking during processing. At the same time, it can maintain a certain strength in a high temperature environment, providing reliable protection for the internal casi powder. The main component of the inner core is calcium silicon powder. Calcium silicon alloy is a multi-element alloy composed of silicon, calcium and iron, and is an ideal composite deoxidizer and desulfurizer. Making it into powder as the inner core of the cored wire can accurately control the amount of alloy elements added during steel smelting and improve the utilization rate of the alloy.

Production process

Powder preparation
Silicon calcium alloy is made into powder that meets the size requirements through crushing, grinding and other processes. The size distribution of the powder needs to be strictly controlled to ensure uniformity in the cored wire and reactivity during the smelting process.

Core forming
Special cored wire production equipment is used to evenly fill silicon calcium powder into low-carbon steel strips, and then the steel strips are rolled into round or other shaped cored wires through a rolling mill. During the cored process, the density and uniformity of the powder filling must be ensured to avoid powder leakage or local accumulation.

Surface treatment
In order to improve the corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of the cored wire, some treatments may be performed on the surface of the cored wire, such as copper plating and painting. These treatments can extend the storage time and service life of the cored wire to a certain extent.
