Silicon metal plays a key role in alloy formulation. Silicon aluminum alloy, especially silicon alloy with the largest usage, is a strong composite deoxidizer that can effectively improve the utilization rate of deoxidizers in the steelmaking process and further purify the molten steel, thereby improving the quality of steel. In addition, the low density and low thermal expansion coefficient of silicon aluminum alloy give it excellent casting performance and wear resistance. Therefore, alloy castings cast with silicon aluminum alloy not only have strong impact resistance, but also have good high-pressure compactness, which greatly extends its service life. The main grades are 553#, 551#, 441# and 3303#. Among them, the demand for industrial silicon for cast aluminum alloy is significantly higher than that for deformed aluminum alloy.
