Chinese Manufacturer Of Rare Earth Ferro Silicon Magnesium Alloy

Rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy (abbreviated as RE MgSiFe alloy) is an important rare earth alloy with specific chemical composition and characteristics.

Ferro silicon magnesium

Chemical composition

1. Magnesium (Mg): As the basic element of the alloy, magnesium has good processing properties and mechanical properties.

2. Silicon (Si): Silicon can improve the corrosion resistance and thermal stability of the alloy.

3. Iron (Fe): Iron is usually used as a reinforcing element to increase the strength and hardness of the alloy.

4. Rare earth elements: Rare earth elements such as lanthanum (La), cerium (Ce), neodymium (Nd), etc. can improve the special physical and chemical properties of the alloy, such as improving high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance.

Characteristics

1. High temperature performance: Rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy has good high temperature stability and oxidation resistance due to the addition of rare earth elements, and is suitable for applications in high temperature environments.

2. Corrosion resistance: The addition of silicon improves the corrosion resistance of the alloy, giving it a longer service life in harsh environments.

3. Strength and hardness: The addition of iron enhances the strength and hardness of the alloy, making it suitable for occasions requiring higher mechanical properties.

4. Electrochemical properties: Rare earth elements also affect the electrochemical behavior of alloys, which can improve their application performance in the field of electrochemistry.

Market application
1

Low-magnesium spheroidizers with a magnesium content of 4%, 5%, and 5.5%, with RE between 1% and 2%, are mostly used for medium-frequency furnace smelting and spheroidization of low-sulfur iron liquid. It has the advantages of gentle spheroidization reaction and easy absorption of spheroidizing elements.

2

Medium-magnesium series spheroidizers with a magnesium content of 6% and 7%, are mostly used for cupola and electric furnace double smelting, or medium-frequency furnace smelting of pearlite cast ductile iron castings. According to the wall thickness of the casting and the sulfur content of the original molten iron, the appropriate amount of spheroidizer is determined, with a wide range of applications and a wide range of spheroidization treatment processes.

3

High-magnesium series spheroidizers are suitable for cupola smelting and molten iron with a sulfur content of 0.06%-0.09%, and the amount added is between 1.6% and 2.0%.

4

Spheroidizer, vermicularizer and inoculant for cast iron. Rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy, also known as magnesium alloy spheroidizer, is a good inoculant with high mechanical strength and strong deoxidation and desulfurization effects.

5

Steelmaking additives: Light rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy used in the production of spheroidizers, vermicularizers and inoculants is also used as an additive and alloying agent in the production of steel and iron. It is used for refining, deoxidation, denaturation, neutralization of low-melting point harmful impurities (Pb, arsenic, etc.) and solid solution alloying to form new metal compounds to purify steel.

In general, rare earth magnesium ferrosilicon alloy has become one of the important materials in many high-tech fields due to its special chemical composition and excellent performance, promoting the development of modern industry and technology.
