Low-aluminum ferrosilicon is a ferrosilicon alloy with strictly controlled aluminum content, typically referring to ferrosilicon products with an aluminum content ≤ 0.5%. Compared to ordinary ferrosilicon (aluminum content 1.5%-2.0%), low al ferrosilicon significantly reduces the content of residual elements such as aluminum and calcium through special process control, making it an ideal material for producing high-quality special steel, electrical steel, stainless steel, and high-grade ductile iron.

A: Yes, but it's unnecessary. Ordinary carbon steel is not sensitive to aluminum content; regular ferrosilicon is sufficient. Spending extra money on low-aluminum ferrosilicon is not cost-effective. Low al ferrosilicon is designed for high-end steels (electrical steel, pipeline steel, automotive steel).

 

Q: Can the aluminum content of low al fesi be below 0.3%?

A: It can be customized, but the price will be higher, and the delivery time may be longer. Most high-end customers only need Al0.5; only top-grade electrical steels (such as CGO and HGO oriented silicon steel) require Al0.3.

 

Q: What is the difference between low aluminum fesi and lc ferrosilicon? Which should I buy?
