Fesi72 is mainly composed of silicon, with a silicon content stable at around 72%. The remaining components are mainly iron, and contain trace amounts of impurity elements such as carbon, manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur. The product has a silver-gray block or granular appearance, with good metallic luster and physical stability. It is produced in strict accordance with international and domestic industry standards (such as GB/T 2272-2009) to ensure the uniformity of the composition and consistency of performance of each batch of products to meet the diverse needs of different customers.

Production Process
Electric Furnace Reduction: Quartz/silica (SiO2) + a carbonaceous reducing agent (such as petroleum coke) + iron-containing raw materials are reduced at 1500–1800°C in a submerged arc furnace. The crude ferrosilicon is then refined, crushed, and graded. Special grades such as those with high purity, low aluminum, and low carbon require further refining outside the furnace to reduce impurities.

Iron and steel smelting industry
In the field of iron and steel smelting, ferro silicon 72 is an indispensable deoxidizer and alloy additive. From ordinary carbon steel to high-end alloy steel, ferrosilicon 72 can accurately control the composition of molten steel. In the production of rebar for construction, adding ferrosilicon 72% can improve the strength and toughness of steel and meet the high-strength requirements of building structures; in stainless steel smelting, it can enhance the corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of stainless steel, and help the development of high-end fields such as aerospace and medical equipment.

Casting industry
As a high-quality inoculant, 72% ferrosilicon alloy performs outstandingly in the casting industry. After being added to molten iron, it can effectively promote graphitization, prevent the formation of white cast structure, refine graphite grains, and improve the cast iron structure. In the production of precision castings such as automobile engine cylinder blocks and machine tool beds, the use of ferrosilicon 72 alloy can significantly improve the strength, wear resistance and fatigue resistance of castings, and increase the yield rate and service life of castings.

Nonferrous metals and chemical industry
In nonferrous metal smelting, ferro silicon 72 alloy can be used to adjust the composition of aluminum alloys and copper alloys, optimize the strength, hardness and wear resistance of alloys, and meet the needs of aerospace, electronics and other fields for high-performance nonferrous metal materials. In the chemical industry, alloy powder made of 72 ferrosilicon alloy can be used as a catalyst or reducing agent to participate in organic synthesis reactions and improve chemical production efficiency.
