The main purpose of ferroalloy cored wire is to add alloying elements to liquid steel during the steel smelting process to adjust the chemical composition of the steel and improve the properties of the steel. Main Application Scenarios

 

(I) Steelmaking

 

Clean Steel Production:

Calcium silicon cored wire is used for deoxidation of cold-rolled steel sheets for automobiles and pipeline steel for nuclear power plants, reducing the oxygen content of liquid steel to below 20 ppm.

Specialty Steel Alloying:

Ferro Titanium cored wire is used in silicon steel production, precisely controlling the titanium content to increase magnetic permeability and reduce transformer core losses.

Continuous Casting Process Optimization:

Pure calcium cored wire treats molten steel in the tundish, preventing nozzle blockage and increasing the yield rate of continuous casting billets to over 99.5%.

 

(II) Foundry Industry

 

Rare earth silicon magnesium ferro cored wire is used as an inoculant for ductile iron, promoting graphite spheroidization and increasing the tensile strength of cast iron from 300 MPa to over 500 MPa, making it suitable for the production of precision castings such as engine blocks and pipe fittings.
